Webinar | SCRIS: The development of and clinical and national use of systemic anti-cancer therapy data in Scotland | 27 April 2022 Chair: Richard Hunter, Information Consultant, Public Health Scotland Speakers SACT Data Operational Group - SACT data story Speaker: Lois Pollock, Pharmacy Advisor, National SACT Data Lois has worked as an oncology pharmacist for 18 years, both clinically and as an Accountable Pharmacist. She jointly led on the Southeast of Scotland (SCAN) SACT service review and has developed and launched a regional tool for capacity and horizon scanning. Lois started work with SCRIS & Public Health Scotland to work on the National SACT data platform in 2017, undertaking the role as a clinical facilitator to support the technical and analytical teams and has responsibility for the SACT regimen mappings. She retains a role in the SCAN team supporting the Chemocare® upgrade. Speaker: Ana Rodriguez, Principal Information Analyst, Public Health Scotland Ana Rodriguez has worked as an analyst in Public Health Scotland (previously Information Services Division) for 25 years. During her time in the organisation, she has held many different roles in drug misuse, record linkage, national audits, mental health and primary care amongst others. Ana has also worked in a variety of settings, including outposts to NHS Lothian and the Scottish Government. She joined the cancer team in 2019, with responsibility for the development of the national SACT dataset. Speaker: Stefan Teufl, Senior Information Analyst, Public Health Scotland Stefan has joined the cancer team in 2019 focusing on the development of the national SACT dataset. Before joining Public Health Scotland to set up the Open Data project, Stefan completed his PhD in Health Science developing a tool to objectively quantify tremor in those with Multiple Sclerosis. Clinical viewpoint Speaker: Professor David Cameron, Professor of Oncology at University of Edinburgh Presentation: How SCRIS and national cancer data contribute to aiding management of cancer services during COVID (SACT activity data and beyond) Professor David Cameron treats breast cancer patients at NHS Lothian’s Cancer Centre, is deputy director of IHDP, chairs several Scottish and international groups spanning cancer data, cancer trials, and cancer medicines, and is a member of several cancer research funding committees. David is also the Scottish Government’s clinical cancer research champion. Q+A session with all the speakers Audience This webinar is designed for clinicians and service delivery managers, and any others who have an interest in the use of data to inform clinical and national cancer care and service provision.
