Improving Respiratory Health in Asia: A webinar Join the RESPIRE team online to celebrate five years of RESPIRE, with a keynote presentation: "Vaccines to prevent infant mortality from respiratory infections" from Professor Keith Klugman. The NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Respiratory Health (RESPIRE) is an international collaboration spanning Bangladesh, India, Malaysia and Pakistan, working collaboratively with The University of Edinburgh to improve respiratory health across Asia through academic research, capacity building, and stakeholder and community engagement and involvement. Over the last five years, RESPIRE partners have implemented 45 research studies to improve the prevention, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic respiratory diseases including pneumonia, COVID-19, asthma, and COPD. This talk will explore childhood vaccines globally including: pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine developments, and maternal Group B streptococcus (GBS) vaccines.
