Dr Annemarie Docherty and Prof Catherine Sudlow have been awarded a grant from the CSO to support the Scotland wide collection of key data about patients hospitalised with COVD19 as part of the ISARIC project. This study taking samples from COVID patients is running at 169 sites in the UK as well as in 29 other countries. The first participant in Scotland was recruited by WGH on 1st March 2020. This study aims to describe the clinical features of the disease and the response to treatment. This study is being supported by a team of volunteers consisting of medical students and trainees to whom we are incredibly grateful. ISARIC have already published a clinical data report on a cohort of 19463 individuals which can be found at: https://media.tghn.org/medialibrary/2020/05/ISARIC_Data_Platform_COVID-19_Report_27APR20.pdf ISARIC Project Image Publication date 27 Apr, 2020
