Congratulations to Dr Karissa Patton on receiving a Wellcome Early Career Award for research into Reproductive Justice, Healthcare & History. This project will specifically focus on Community Engaged Histories of Reproductive Health Care and Activism in Scotland and Alberta 1967-1990. Dr Patton said: "I’m so pleased to have the time and resources, provided by the Wellcome Trust ECA, to carry out this community engaged, comparative history project in Alberta, Canada and Scotland. As reproductive rights and justice remain significant political issues across the globe, the interdisciplinary collaboration amongst the project team and the engagement partners will demonstrate how histories of reproductive health are important to understanding contemporary healthcare concerns and practices, and vice versa."Full Project Summary (Wellcome website)Dr Karissa Patton profile Dr Karissa Patton This article was published on Tuesday 29 October 2024
