Title: NHS.UK website review moderation

Abstract: The NHS.UK website receives around a hundred  thousand reviews every year. These reviews need moderating -- there's a set of NHS policies which need to be applied to these before they can be published. In this project, we built a set of modules to automate this moderation – some of which were simple regex (such as blocking swear words), and some of which were more involved ML models (for example, to detect self-harm intent). The result is a product which reduces moderation time from days to seconds, lowers running costs, and is scalable. Our models also match or out-perform the first-line moderators from before. Ours was also the first AI product to get clinical approval within NHS.UK.
