Background

She was awarded an MD by the University of Edinburgh in 2007 for her research on “Characterization of lung innate immunity in patients with Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia” at the Centre for Inflammation Research, QMRI, Edinburgh

After a year as a senior critical care fellow in Toronto, Canada she returned to Edinburgh in 2011 where she has been working as a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine and NIV/Home ventilation at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Research

Her research interests include VAP and ARDS, she is co-investigator for HARP-2, ISOC-2, ABLE studies and local Principal Investigator I for the VAP-R study.
