Guest speaker: Online health communities and online peer self-management support Join us for a seminar by Anna De Simoni, a member of the Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research. Anna's seminar will cover the topic of 'Online health communities and online peer self-management support'. She will give an overview of recent research on the topic, as well as ongoing projects and future plans. Speaker biography Anna De Simoni is a GP and Clinical Lecturer in Primary Care at Queen Mary University of London. She held a NIHR Academic Clinical Lectureship between 2014-2018 at QMUL and a NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship at the University of Cambridge between 2009-2011. She is currently leading a multidisciplinary programme on digital health, in particular developing new methodologies in the evaluation of peer support through online health communities for patients with long term conditions. This achieved through an interdisciplinary team including social network analysis, artificial intelligence, machine learning, information governance and ethics. She is a member of the Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research.
