This is a supplement led by the University of St Andrews to a very large research grant from Health Data Research UK led by the University of Edinburgh.

Project Summary:

This project is a core work-package of an HDR-UK  project which is a cross-institutional consortium of HDR-UK partners developing new data resources to support multimorbidity research. Although there is consensus on the broad definition of multimorbidity, the methods used to measure multimorbidity in research studies are very variable, making it difficult to compare studies. The aims of this study are to systematically review how researchers have defined and measured multimorbidity, and to use this to inform a modified Delphi study to identify areas of consensus and good practice in measure design and research reporting.   National Multimorbidity Resource.
