What we do

IHDP is uniquely positioned as a change facilitator, enabling meaningful connections to promote the use of healthcare data to drive improvements in healthcare. We do this by aiding the right connections and relevant conversations to take place; researching complex situations and assessing where value can be added.

IHDP Our Approach

Based in the Centre for Medical Informatics at The University of Edinburgh's Usher Institute, we work closely with partners to drive data-led improvements in health and care across Scotland.

Our work spans across five key areas, originally based around policy priorities and funding but now emerging as key areas of strength and expertise. Horizon scanning also allows us to build connections and explore potential areas of work for the future.
