Driving data innovation, collaboration and improved health outcomes across Scotland. As we reflect on a year of progress and growth, IHDP has continued to make significant strides in improving health and social care through data-driven innovation. From strengthening our foundational work in cancer data to expanding collaborative partnerships and reflecting on data narratives, 2024 has been a year spent fostering the connections to build a more informed and collaborative data ecosystem. Strengthening our foundations Building on our foundations in Scotland’s cancer data landscape, IHDP has continued to work closely with Public Health Scotland to make significant progress in improving data access and quality, enabling more actionable insights for clinicians and researchers. Expanding our collaborative ecosystem IHDP’s strengths lie in our collaborative approach and connections across sectors. Throughout the year, we have maintained our active engagement with our patient representatives, formed new partnerships in digital and data innovation and, using a co-design approach, established our Industry Reference Group. Our design led, engagement approach ensures that patient voices and industry insights shape our work. Unlocking the stories within our data IHDP’s work remains centred on improving data accessibility and quality, empowering stakeholders to derive meaningful insights and implement evidence-based improvements in health and social care. Throughout the year, we’ve been compiling impactful data stories to highlight the real experiences of people working to improve outcomes through better use of data and digital to inform the strategy and policy work of the Scottish Government’s data and digital directorate. As we look ahead to 2025, IHDP remains committed to building on this momentum, continuing to drive collaboration, innovation and data-driven improvements in health and social care across Scotland.
