My study has three phases. If you are eligible and decide to take part in the study, you will be invited to take part in these activities. Stage 1: One-to-one discussion with me about your views on asthma I will ask you what you think about asthma, and how it affects your life, and the ways you look after yourself. I will also be interested in your ideas about what would help you look after your asthma better. At the end of the interview, I will ask you if you want to take part in the photography activity. Stage 2: Photography activity If you decide to take part in the photography activity, I will give you a disposable camera and ask you to take photographs over the next week of anything that you think shows how your asthma affects you, or how you look after it in your day-to-day life. I will collect the camera from you a week later and take it away to develop the film. Stage 3: Chat with me about your photographs After you have taken your photographs, we will meet again to chat about them. You can have copies of the photographs and you can decide whether I can keep them and use them in my research. You do not have to take part in all the activities. But, if you’ve decided to take part, we will give you another leaflet and explain to you in detail what the activity involves. We will ask your consent to take part in any activities in which you decide to be involved. This article was published on 2024-09-24
