BR-UK Training: Public Engagement in Research and Policy Training The course combines short presentations with practical, hands-on activities to support you in thinking clearly about who your publics are, why engagement is needed, and how engagement can be planned in ways that are ethical, inclusive, and mutually beneficial. The second part of this course will take place on April 29th at 1pm.Across two interactive sessions, you will explore different public engagement agendas and approaches and examine how these can be applied across the research and policy development cycles. Ethical considerations in public engagement are also embedded with space for reflection and peer discussion. The course is practice-oriented, and you will be supported to develop and refine a public engagement plan grounded in your own research interests or projects.By the end of the course, you will be able to:Identify the different publics relevant to your research projects.Identify different public engagement approaches and their application in research and policy development.Have access to examples of how to integrate public engagement in the research and policy development cycles.Please note that AI Notetakers are not permitted in this training session. This training will be capped at 40 participants.
