PPI Workshop explores the use of healthcare data in research. Late last year, members of the ACRC Public Involvement Network and AIM-CISC Public Reference Group who were interested in research into long-term conditions and the use of healthcare data in research took part in a workshop. The intention was to explore how members of the public viewed using unstructured medical data, such as the handwritten notes in medical files, in health research. The workshop looked at three topics over the course of the day: Common and important health related problems in older age Medications and serious side effects Healthcare data in research The workshop led to some in-depth discussions which will help research across both the ACRC and AIM CISC A report of the workshop has been produced, and can be viewed below: Document ACRC Healthcare Data Research Workshop Report (759.73 KB / PDF) Publication date 30 May, 2023
