Statement of intent: Integrating older age into health and care research

The ACRC supports the recent statement supporting the inclusion of older adults in research. ACRC has focused on including older adults in research to ensure that we understand and build on their experience of health and care, as well as involving them in the design and conduct of the work we do. From the outset, patient and public involvement has been a foundation of all our research, with older adult contributors co-located within each work package, and acting as mentors to our PhD Academy Students. We hope this statement encourages the wider research community to increase the involvement and inclusion of older adults in research.
