The Usher Molecular Epidemiology (MolEpi) Group is a cross-centre Research Group based in the Usher Institute. Our aim is to provide a forum for Usher researchers interested in molecular epidemiology to meet, share ideas and expertise, and collaborate on joint projects.  Our website also provides a platform to show-case our richly phenotyped consented cohorts which are available for internal and external data sharing and collaboration.

Our group includes staff from across the Usher Institute working on a variety of research areas.

Our group includes postgraduate research students working across our research areas.

We hold regular seminars at the Usher Building, Edinburgh Bioquarter, on Wednesdays, 11-12noon, as part of the Centre for Global Health Seminar series.

Group members lead a number of consented cohorts, providing unique datasets for exploring priority research questions around disease aetiology and prevention.  These cohorts are part of national and international genomic and metabolomic collaborations.  Requests for data sharing and further collaboration are encouraged.
