Socioeconomic Recovery from Covid We carried out a comparative study of international policies related to socioeconomic recovery from Covid-19, with a view to learning lessons for Scotland. Children and Schools Our living systematic review aims to provide a regular, up-to-date synthesis of the best available evidence on COVID-19 in schools. Race and Ethnicity Our regular systematic reviews aim to provide a comprehensive overview of racial and ethnic variation in COVID-19 risk factors and outcomes. Transmission and Infectivity UNCOVER produces reviews on a broad range of questions related to the transmission and infectivity of COVID-19, in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments. Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions (NPIs) We study the role of public health measures such as handwashing, mask-wearing and physical distancing, and their impact on COVID-19 incidence, transmission and mortality. Influenza, RSV and COVID-19 Ahead of the winter influenza season in 2020-21, UNCOVER explored the implications of COVID-19 for national influenza immunisation strategies. Comorbidities and COVID-19 Understanding how COVID-19 impacts people with existing health conditions is important in planning public health responses, from who should be asked to shield, to how vaccination programmes should be prioritised. Case Definitions and Clinical Features UNCOVER carries out reviews on a range of questions related to the clinical nature of COVID-19; including case definitions, clinical features, and risk factors for poor outcomes. Long Covid (Post-Covid Syndrome) We aim to summarise and critically appraise the evidence on the prevalence of post COVID-19 syndrome (also known as 'Long Covid'). Mental Health and COVID-19 We aim to understand the impact on mental health and wellbeing of COVID-19, including the impact of living through a pandemic, and of coping with mitigation measures. Our Methods and Work We aim to improve our own working models, and to share our learning with others, through an ongoing process of reflection and adaptation. Housing and Neighbourhoods We aimed to identify, appraise and synthesise available evidence on links between transmission of respiratory viruses, including Covid-19, and dwelling or population density and other features of neighbourhood design.
