Influenza, RSV and COVID-19

Ahead of the winter influenza season in 2020-21, UNCOVER explored the implications of COVID-19 for national influenza immunisation strategies.

There is a substantial burden on healthcare services during the winter, largely due to circulating seasonal influenza viruses. Ahead of the 2020-21 influenza season in the UK, UNCOVER carried out a comparative review of findings from the 2020 influenza season in the Southern Hemisphere, as well as exploring national and regional recommendations for influenza vaccination in the context of COVID-19. This area of work is ongoing. If you are a volunteer interested in joining this review, or an external organisation interested in partnering with UNCOVER, please get in touch with us.

Please take note of the dates of reviews and publications. Reviews produced early in the pandemic may have been superseded by more recent findings.
