Nutrition in Survivors of Critical Illness: A Canadian Perspective 27th August 2019

Dr. Moisey joined the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan in 2017 as an Assistant Professor in Clinical Nutrition. She completed her PhD at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, where she examined nutrition and body composition in survivors of critical illness. Prior to pursuing her PhD, she completed her postgraduate dietetic internship at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, and then went on to work as an acute care dietitian for several years. Her primary research interests focus on critical care nutrition, with a specific interest in optimizing nutrition in ICU survivors. She is particularly interested in developing evidence-informed integrative nutrition and rehabilitative interventions to enhance nutritional and functional outcomes and quality of life in those surviving critical illness . She currently teaches Advanced Clinical Nutrition and Nutritional Assessment to undergraduate nutrition students, and currently engages in teaching and research on experiential learning and interprofessional education within the dietetics curriculum.
