In 2007 she undertook a MSc by Research at the University of Edinburgh and at this time joined the Edinburgh Critical Care Research Group. In 2009 Judith was awarded a PhD fellowship from the Chief Scientist office. Her PhD, based at Edinburgh University, is due to be completed in December 2012 uses a mixed method approach to explore the barriers to nutrition after intensive care. Recently she was awarded a Research and Development post doctoral fellowship to further develop a patient- centred strategy to promote nutritional recovery after critical illness. Research Within the Edinburgh Critical Care Research Group Judith is involved in the RECOVER study. Her research interests include nutrition in and after ICU, rehabilitation and patient experience.
