Edinburgh Acute Care is a new cross cutting initiative that will be hosted in the Usher Institute, within the Centre for Population Health Sciences. The group aims to bring together clinicians and researchers across multiple specialties and disciplines to generate novel clinical, health services, and translational research in relation to any acute illness. The underpinning rationale for Edinburgh Acute Care is to break down silos and barriers between different clinicians and research groups, and between the NHS and Universities (including all regional HEIs). In this way the major opportunities to undertake research in the challenging circumstances that typify acute illness will be maximised. Event details and programme Publication date 16 Feb, 2018
