Prof Yahya Shehabi – Monash University and University of NSW. Prof Shehabi is an international expert in ICU sedation, and specifically the use of dexmedetomidine. He led the SPICE III trial, the largest RCT of dexmedetomidine for ICU sedation, which showed provocative heterogeneity of treatment effects according to patient age. He is leading ongoing trials in this area to further define the role of dexmedetomidine for safe ICU sedation. Publication date 19 Jun, 2023
