Information on spending Research Training Support Grant funds. The Research Training Support Grant [RTSG] is an annual payment of £5,000 and is a contribution towards costs incurred in training research students e.g the provision of consumables, equipment, travel, etc. At the start of each academic year, your RTSG will be transferred to the research group where you are based. You should discuss the spending of your RTSG with your supervisor, with all expenses agreed prior to purchase. Your local administrative and/or finance contact will be able to advise processes for purchasing equipment, and claiming expenses.
