Information on what you need to do before submitting your thesis Thesis Submission Deadline Students are expected to submit their thesis by the end of their prescribed period of study. MRC do permit a 6 month writing up period however should you not submit by the end of your prescribed period of study you will be liable to pay a Matriculation Fee. You must submit by the end of the 6 month writing up period at the very latest. Notice of intention to submit your thesis Two months before you intend to submit your thesis for examination you are required to notify the College Graduate School Hub by completing and submitting four forms. 1. Notice of Intention to Submit - Students and supervisors must sign this form. 2. Draft Abstract - to be completed on one side of A4 only. Students are required to submit 1 copy of their draft abstract on the University form. Please note that if the abstract does not initially fit on the form, the form can be reformatted (i.e. the size of the font can be changed and unnecessary lines deleted). Students do not need to worry if their draft abstract changes, this abstract begins the nomination of examiners process. The final version of the abstract should be submitted with the final copies of the thesis. 3. Access to a Thesis - If restrictions are required the form must be signed by the Head of School. If students are unsure if access to their thesis should be restricted they should consult their supervisor.
