Evaluation of a Rehabilitation Complex Intervention for patients following Intensive Care Discharge We have developed an intervention to enhance physical rehabilitation following ICU discharge. The intervention utilises a generic rehabilitation assistant to deliver coordinated enhanced treatment to patients throughout the hospital and provide support after hospital discharge, under the supervision of existing multidisciplinary teams. In randomised trial design we will compare this novel approach with current standard care in 240 ICU patients from 2 Lothian hospitals. We will also undertake a qualitative study with patients/carers and a cost-effectiveness analysis. Image Chief Investigator: Prof. Timothy. S.
