Gwyn Davies honoured for her research in respiratory medicine

Congratulations to Gwyn Davies, who has recently been promoted to the position of Professor of Respiratory Medicine at Swansea University.

Congratulations to Gwyn Davies, who has recently been promoted to the position of Professor of Respiratory Medicine at Swansea University.

Gwyn is Clinical Deputy Head (joint) of Swansea University Medical School. She also leads the UK Postgraduate Training Programme for Asthma Researchers at the Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research, as well as co-leading the Centre’s UK-wide programme on reducing asthma exacerbations, admissions and deaths.

Gwyn’s research has contributed to diverse fields within respiratory medicine from translational work in asthma ‘omics to population health research. Her interests lie in linking respiratory ‘omics data with population health data, with her current work centering on respiratory informatics relating to the burden and costs of asthma and the use of electronic health records.
