Salina Ahmed Based at Queen Mary University of London, Salina’s PhD studies were focussed on the role of South Asian culture on asthma self-management. Salina is now an Academic Researcher and Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. Find out more about Salina’s research Christina-Jane Crossman-Barnes While a Centre PhD student, Christina-Jane’s research measured the deterioration in quality of life for people with asthma while they attended or were admitted to accident and emergency departments or hospital. She was based at the University of East Anglia. Find out more about Christina-Jane’s research Shauna McKibben Also based at Queen Mary University of London, Shauna’s research implemented a flagging system for bronchodilator overuse within general practices. Her work explored the use of the system and whether it triggered effective asthma reviews. Find out more about Shauna’s research Marissa Mes Marissa’s PhD work, based at University College London, examined pharmacists as a delivery channel for adherence support in asthma. She reviewed the effectiveness of previous pharmacy-led interventions, while also exploring the views of pharmacists and adults with asthma about adherence support through pharmacists.
