EPIC Clinician Engagement

We welcome all healthcare professionals involved in clinical assessment, requesting, performing or reviewing EEGs in children less than 2-years of age, as well as those who work more generally with children with epilepsy.  

You do not have to have any prior research experience or knowledge. We value your professional experience and perspective. Training opportunities will be available if you wish to get involved in specific work on the project.

We are currently running Clinician Engagement events across the UK. If you and your colleagues would like to hear more about the EPIC project, we can work with you to organise a Clinician Engagement session.

Throughout the project, there will be various activities you can contribute to as a Clinician Representative, including:

• helping us understand what would support healthcare professionals;
• advising on technology usability, and acceptability;
• giving feedback on study design;
• reviewing study materials;
• contributing to sharing our results and ensuring it reaches the right audience.

Participation is very flexible. How often and how long you want to participate is completely up to you and you can change your mind at any time. 

Will I be paid for my time?

Unfortunately, no. We do not have the resources to pay for Clinician Representative time, but we will provide subsistence and reimburse reasonable expenses including travel costs.

Do I have to be in Edinburgh to get involved?

No. We welcome healthcare professionals from across the UK. We will host most of our meetings online, with some in-person opportunities.
