In addition to successful completion of your taught courses, you are also responsible for meeting the following Research Milestones in Year 4 of your programme. To monitor your overall progress throughout your programme, you will have a Thesis Committee consisting of your supervisors and one or more members who are independent of the supervisory team. A member of the DTP Academic Committee will chair each Committee. Each student is responsible for meeting the following Research Milestones in Year 4 of the programme (of 6 or 12m duration depending on programme): 3.5 Year Degree Thesis Submission - End of February Each student will submit a thesis by the end of February. 4 Year Degree 4th Year Review - End of January Each student will have a meeting with your Thesis Committee to review progress on your Thesis Plan. This meeting should take place by end of January at the latest. Students are responsible for arranging their Thesis Committee meeting at a time that suits all members. We recommend that this is organised early to ensure a suitable time can be found prior to the deadline of end of January. Once organised, students should confirm the date of the Thesis Committee meeting to precision.medicine@ed.ac.uk. Thesis Submission - End of August Each student will submit a thesis by the end of August. Additional Information Following thesis submission each student will undergo a viva. Please see the Thesis Submission Process page for full details regarding submission and the viva. This article was published on 2024-09-24
