Research Data Management and Sharing - support at the University of Edinburgh

We are delighted to be hosting Martin Donnelly, Research Data Support Manager at the University of Edinburgh for two seminar/workshop events in January (one Central and one at BioQuarter). Organised by our Research Strategy Manager, Alex Peden.

Who should attend?

Anyone working with research data (whether quantitative and/or qualitative) across the Usher Institute.

Why attend?

Learn about the various University support and systems available for research data management, and the importance of taking an active approach to the management of the data that you work with.

When? Where?

There are two events are identical, one in the Central Area and one at the Edinburgh BioQuarter.

What?

The sessions begin with a thirty-minute presentation summarising the rationales and drivers behind Research Data Management, together with a short overview of central University support for different aspects of it. This is then followed by an optional one-hour workshop looking at the services in more detail, including opportunities for participants to discuss their own specific examples and use cases from past, present or future research.
