CPRD Seminar: Clinical Practice Research Datalink for statistical and machine learning studies CPRD is the leading data source of patient records from GP practices across the UK. It contains anonymous data collected over 30 years and is highly representative of the UK population. It is a valuable resource for the application of statistical methods, computational epidemiology, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques. Agenda Opening remarks: Professor Aziz Sheikh Introduction to CPRD and scenarios: Mehrdad Mizani Application of machine learning for survival analysis in CPRD data: a case study: Ahmar Shah Feasibility count and ISAC protocol: Tony Wackett and Mome Mukherjee This seminar will cover: • A practical introduction to CPRD dataset. • Case studies and scenarios for novel machine learning and artificial intelligence methods and CPRD. • How to use the academic multi-study license available to all researchers affiliated with the University of Edinburgh. • Demonstration of the feasibility count service. • Tips for a successful CPRD data application (i.e. ISAC protocol). • The new competitive pricing model of CPRD data through an academic multi-study license.
