Professor Raj Bhopal - profiled in the BMJ

Raj Bhopal, Bruce and John Usher Professor of Public Health here in the Usher Institute, shares some reflections with the British Medical Journal.

We are delighted to see Professor Raj Bhopal appear in the British Medical Journal's 'BMJ Confidential' series.

From early dreams of running a sweet shop, to leading work on effective public health interventions.

Born in India, he migrated with his family to the Gorbals in Glasgow, where his parents raised eight children, seven of whom went to university.
