A series of technical reports, exploring the nature and potential of factors that can cause harm in the primary care setting, have been published by the World Health Organization (WHO). The set of papers, titled the Technical Series on Safer Primary Care, were published by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 15 December 2016. Professor Aziz Sheikh, Professor of Primary Care Research & Development and co-director of the Centre for Medical Informatics in the Usher Institute, was a member of the series' leadership team. Technical Series on Safer Primary Care The nine monographs capproach the magnitude and nature of harm in the primary care setting from multiple angles, including patient engagement, errors in administration, medication or diagnosis, multimorbidity, and during transition of care between different sections of healthcare.
