RESPIRE has local experts based at the RESPIRE Partner institutions who understand the context-specific needs of stakeholders in each partner country. Read about them and their work. Ajay Kumar Roy Image Ajay Kumar Roy is based at Bangladesh Primary Care Respiratory Society, where he serves as an Executive Member. He also works as a Primary Care Physician. Ajay has worked as a health manager in different levels of Government health services and has recently worked as the Director of a Government Medical College Hospital under the Ministry of Health & Family in Bangladesh. Ajay has led on engaging the community, opinion leaders, service providers & policymakers in Bangladesh about the benefits of Pulmonary Rehabilitation in chronic lungs diseases. Phub Dorji Phub Dorji is based at Jigme Dorji Wangchuk National Referral Hospital Qorinah Estiningtyas Sakilah Adnani Image Dr. Qorinah Estiningtyas Sakilah Adnani is based at Universitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia, where she is a midwifery lecturer. Qorinah was offered this position through the University’s high-quality talent scheme in 2021, following the completion of her PhD in midwifery at Auckland University of Technology (AUT), New Zealand. Qorinah has worked as a midwifery lecturer for more than 12 years, and is a member of the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Collaborative Network at the University of Washington and the Quality Maternal & Newborn Care (QMNC) Research Alliance at Yale University, USA. She has also been awarded various travel grants and course aids, including from AUT, NZ (2018); WHO Collaborating Centre (WHOCC) for Nursing and Midwifery, Australia (2018); Yale University, USA (2020); University of Washington, USA (2022) and the University of Edinburgh, UK (2022). She has published 24 papers in high-quality refereed journals focusing on midwifery, public health, and the global burden of disease.
