She was passionate about involving and supporting patients and members of the public to play an active role in research. The Professor Su May Liew Award for Meaningful Community Engagement and Involvement in Healthcare Research was established in honour of her legacy.These small grants facilitate meaningful collaboration between RESPIRE's partners, patients and/or communities affected by research outcomes, ensuring that they are at the heart of RESPIRE's projects. The awards are linked to a RESPIRE project, implemented within 12 months and are able to demonstrate positive change.
