News and updates regarding the Usher Building. Key dates The on-site construction is due to be completed by the end of 2023 when the building will be handed over to The University of Edinburgh for final fit out, including the additions of AV equipment, furniture etc. We anticipate moving in to the space in early 2024. Staff and students moving in to the building will be advised in good time ahead of their move so all are clear what they will need to do before moving, and what to expect during the move itself. There will be a phased move-in period, with neighbourhood groups moving in sequentially. The moving plan is being coordinated by Facilities Manager, Bran Cervenak. All building users will need to undertake building induction training before accessing the building.
