Usher Building took part in Doors Open Day in September In September this year, the Usher Building took part in a lively event! Doors Open Days is Scotland’s largest free festival, celebrating the stories and spaces that shape our communities, old and new. This year, we were thrilled to welcome the public into the Usher Building, offering a behind-the-scenes look at our new facility at the Edinburgh BioQuarter and a taste of the innovative research happening within.Visitors enjoyed informative guided tours through our spaces, where they learned about the building’s sustainable design and the exciting public health research underway. Stalls showcased a sampling of our research from data science to public health, while guests got in on the fun with science-themed temporary tattoos inspired by our research. We even had a magician on hand, sparking curiosity and delight in visitors of all ages with science-themed tricks! It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community, share our vision, and celebrate the wonders of science together.Further informationUsher Institute participating in Doors Open Day | Usher InstituteDoors Open Days 2024 | Unlock Scotland this September!
