Chancellor's Rising Star Award

Professor Devi Sridhar, Personal Chair of Global Public Health, has been selected by the University as the recipient of this year’s Chancellor’s Rising Star Award, in recognition of the exceptional contribution she has made in the field of global health governance.

The award was presented by the Chancellor, HRH the Princess Royal, at a dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse on Tuesday 28 November 2017.

Congratulations to Devi on this excellent achievement.

This prize is a reflection of the enormous support provided by the College of Medicine and Vet Medicine particularly Sir John Savill to research and teaching in global health governance and policy. I’m particularly grateful to my Dean Professor Sarah Cunningham-Burley, and my heads of Centre Professors Harry Campbell and Igor Rudan for their encouragement in building the Global Health Governance Programme. In the years to come, I plan to support colleagues and members of my team to develop their careers and research passion in a healthy, balanced and fulfilling way.
