A highly successful global health symposium was held at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, led by Professor Harish Nair of the Usher Institute. This conference, held on 21 February 2018, included a large number of high profile speakers from the UK and overseas with web streaming from 25 overseas locations. “This symposium brought together leaders in global health to discuss the current challenges across a range of issues (from infectious diseases to the complex interplay of risk factors for non-communicable diseases and the future of our planet). It also gave an opportunity to students, trainees and international participants who joined by webstream to pick on some of the finest minds in global health.” Professor Harish NairProfessor of Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Global Health Image Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh The College summarises high points from the conference on its website.
