The 'Global Young Scientists Summit' is a gathering of select under 35 young scientists and researchers invited from all over the world, along with eminent international science and technology leaders in Singapore. Usher Institute Chancellor's Fellow, Ahmar Shah is among the invitees to the summit in 2019. Global Young Scientists Summit All speakers at the Global Young Scientists Summit are globally recognized scientific leaders, including 11 Nobel Prize Laureates, 3 Field Medallists, 2 Millennium Prize winners and a Turing Award Winner. It was started in 2013 with the objective of exciting and engaging young scientists to pursue their scientific dreams through close interactions with distinguished scientists and researchers, and with peers. The Summit provides a platform for conversations on science and research, technology innovation and society, and solutions to global challenges. Advancing Science, Creating Technologies for a Better World The theme for this year is "Advancing Science, Creating Technologies for a Better World". Over a five-day programme, bright young researchers will interact with eminent scientists and peers to discuss key areas of science and research, technology innovation and society, and solutions to global challenges. Ahmar Shah Ahmar's experience includes intelligent algorithm development (including extensive signal processing and machine learning theory and implementation) and software development (developing digital health solutions).
