Dr Ahmar Shah succeeds Dr Kathrin Cresswell as the Director of Innovation for the Usher Institute. Image Dr Kathrin Cresswell and Dr Ahmar Shah After an application and interview process the Usher Institute Board recently appointed Dr Ahmar Shah as the new Director of Innovation for the Usher Institute for a 3 year term. Ahmar will be working to support and develop Usher’s innovation and entrepreneurship in a variety of related areas, including: Developing and building our innovation and enterprise activity and culture in the Institute Supporting innovation and enterprise activities and training for early career staff and students Leading Usher Institute input into Health & Social Care DDI Enterprise and Business Engagement activities Working with Heads of Centre, Directors of Research, KERI and PGR, Usher Academics, Researchers, PGR, Professional Services and our partners to grow the innovation profile of the Institute. Ahmar succeeds Dr Kathrin Cresswell as Director of Innovation. We would like to express sincere thanks to Kathrin for her excellent contributions over her years in the role, working to build up both our internal understanding and culture of Innovation and connecting with external partners. Dr Ahmar Shah's profile New Impact Committee Dr Ahmar Shah will join Dr Thanasis Tsanas, Director of Knowledge Exchange and Research Impact, to head up a new Impact Committee for the Usher Institute.
