Launch of community for data-driven innovation in health and social care

The Usher Innovation Community will put data at the centre of responses to health and social care system challenges.

The Usher Innovation Community will bring together academics, service professionals and industry, to identify, evaluate, validate and adopt new solutions to transform the delivery of care and improve outcomes for people.

The community is led by the Health and Social Care Data-Driven Innovation Programme, hosted by the Usher Institute at the University of Edinburgh.

Its launch was marked with a webinar, featuring speakers from across the community on some of the data-driven innovation opportunities to transform health and social care, with a particular focus on ageing and frailty.

We’re excited to launch the Usher Innovation Community today. This is open to everyone with an interest in improving services through research, innovation and planning, including academics, industry, not-for-profit organisations and care providers.

Working together we will identify, evaluate, validate and adopt new solutions to make a significant difference to people’s lives. Underpinned by the unique DataLoch service, we can make advances through novel collaborations and themed challenges.
