New network for alumni of the Usher Institute launched Championing life-long learning through collaboration Co-created between recently graduated students and staff, the Usher Masters Alumni (UMA) network seeks to explore a new way of engaging alumni that extends and champions the notion of life-long learning through collaboration between alumni, current students and staff. Successful first event The UMA network hosts joint student, staff, and alumni events aimed at transferable ‘real world’ skills, starting with the ‘Publishing your dissertation’ workshop in February 2022. This workshop featured Professor Harry Campbell who gave a great talk with advice on publishing papers based on dissertations and five fantastic graduates who have successfully published their dissertations giving advice and responding to student queries.
