Students attending the Leading Digital Transformation in Health and Care for Scotland launch

Presenting a variety of teaching programmes and courses, our focus is on flexibility and global access, with most courses designed to be online. Here's a glimpse of our programme highlights and milestones for 2023.

In April, we launched the Masters level programme, Leading Digital Transformation in Health and Care for Scotland.

In May, the Family Medicine programme secured a Principals Teaching Award Scheme (PTAS) grant for qualitative alumni research.

In July, the Masters in Public Health (on campus) organised a casual gathering at Rainy Hall, offering an informal networking opportunity. The Family Medicine programme successfully partnered with Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia through a British Council-funded project. The Family Medicine department also hosted a well-received in-person summer school.

September marked the first dissertation year for the MSc Epidemiology programme, while the MSc Data Science for Health and Social Care programme also launched its dissertation year. Students can choose a traditional dissertation route or the Work-Based Placement route, engaging in real-world experiences within organizations. Another option is the Student-Led Individually-Crafted Course (SLICC).

Looking forward to next year, we're excited about the upcoming space in the Usher Building at Edinburgh BioQuarter, designed to offer both staff and students opportunities for focused work and collaboration.
