Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships available for Usher Institute programmes

Applications are now open to those interested in studying on online Masters programmes.

We are delighted to confirm that a number of our programmes have again been awarded funding from the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. The funding, provided through the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships (CDLS), provides a total of 15 scholarships allocated between the following Usher Institute programmes:

  • Master of Public Health (MPH)
  • MSc Epidemiology
  • MSc Data Science for Health and Social Care
  • Master of Family Medicine

The scholarships are intended for candidates from low and middle-income Commonwealth countries, and they are funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.

Scholarship application process

We invite all eligible prospective students to apply for these scholarships, which can significantly alleviate the financial burden of pursuing higher education. Applicants must submit their applications by 16.00 GMT on Thursday 28 March 2024. It is imperative to receive a conditional offer from the Usher Institute before applying for the CDLS.
