We are pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea Scott as the new Director of Professional Services for the Usher Institute and School of Population Health Sciences, effective from 15 September 2025. Andrea brings a wealth of experience to this role, having previously served in professional services leadership roles across the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine (CMVM) – including as Director of Professional Services in the former Deanery of Clinical Sciences and most recently as Head of Change and Community in the College Office. This appointment marks a new chapter for our Institute, following the transition of Vivien Smith, who has dedicated many years of support in Usher and, previously, the Centre for Research on Families and Relationships. Vivien has now taken on the role of CMVM Head of Projects, and we would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude for her tireless support, guidance and commitment to our community over the years.We warmly welcome Andrea to her new role and look forward to her contributions, and wish Vivien all the best in her new position.
