Professor Amanda Amos receives OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list. We are delighted that Amanda Amos, Professor of Health Promotion at the Usher Institute, was awarded an OBE for services to Public Health.Smoking and tobacco controlAmanda's research interest is focussed around smoking and tobacco control, working at the University of Edinburgh in the field of Health Promotion since 1985.She leads the Group for Research on Inequalities and Tobacco (GRIT) - an interdisciplinary research group which includes members from the three Colleges at the University of Edinburgh.
