Launch of Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research 10-year impact report

This year, the Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research (AUKCAR) is celebrating 10 years of generating evidence and impact in the applied asthma research community, in working with patients and the public, and driving change, all with the overall aim of improving the lives of people with asthma.

During this period, AUKCAR has:

• made asthma research a priority
• pushed the boundaries of patient and public involvement
• trained the next generation of asthma researchers
• established a unique collaborative cross-discipline research environment.

Reflecting on this important work, the Centre announces the launch of their 10-year impact report. This report shows what can be achieved in collaborative research networks involving researchers, people with asthma, clinicians, industry and charities. It also shows how AUKCAR has brought funding into applied asthma research through partnerships and additional grant funding.
